Wild times for infants in Yorkshire

The infant children had a fantastic time when they went to visit Yorkshire Wildlife Park as part of their topic on arctic animals. They were all very excited as we headed off down the M62 on a wet and cold Tuesday morning. After a rather long 1 and a half hour journey, we arrived at our destination with the sun shining and lots of children eager to begin the tour of the zoo.

The children had great fun learning all about the lions and camels and rhino’s before it we stopped for our November picnic!

After lunch it was with great excitement that we all went off to see the Polar Bears!!!!  The children couldn’t believe how big they were! The Polar Bears did not disappoint, as they came up close to the fence to investigate us and then entertained us by playing and swimming in the water.

After a long and busy day we had to say good bye to all the animals and returned back to Firwood Manor tired but with memories that will last a life time!
