Harvesting time at Firwood Manor Prep School

The children at Firwood Manor Prep School have been busy picking some of the fruits and vegetables they planted last term.  The older children took full advantage of the sunny weather to harvest some of our crops. We have picked the apples and the broad beans. Mrs Harris made a lovely apple pie for us, which we all tried at lunchtime with custard. It was delicious!

The year 6 children set up a farmers market in the playground after school and have sold the broad beans and some of the left over apples for a small donation.

Next week we hope to be picking more of our delicious produce and opening the farmers market once more!
