Earthquakes in Years 3 and 4

Over the last few weeks, our Year 3 and 4 class have been looking into multiple subjects of science in a variety of STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering and Mathematics) tasks. This week, their challenge was to build a structre that could withstand an earthquake, represented by a (rather wobbly) jelly. We discovered that Some of the buildings stood up really well to our jelly earthquake test, some not so well, with taller and narrower buildings less able to withstand the earthquakes compared to wider and shorter ones.
