Extra Curricular
Fascinating and exhilarating school trips and clubs
With a diverse offering of extra-curricular activities and after school clubs, The Chadderton Preparatory Grammar can deliver a complete learning experience for your child. Our academics place us highly, compared with other preparatory schools in the country, but we firmly believe in finding the passion of each pupil and exploring it.
From Year Three onwards, school trips include residential visits to challenging outward bound weekends and places of historical interest. Our Year Six class go to London on a four day visit with Upper School children traveling to Barcelona to support their Spanish studies. Other notable trips have included visits to France to see places of significance from the First World War.
Educational visits are an integral part of the teaching programme and are arranged to galleries and museums to support the classroom learning. These are linked to the topic or area of study at the time. Outside visitors lead workshops for individual year groups or the whole school as appropriate.
Recognising the demands on working parents and to give you peace of mind, we offer comprehensive care based on an extended school day from 7:30am to 6:00pm and a popular holiday club. Children are encouraged to participate in a variety of after school clubs as well as supervised study.
Many activities are organised that are designed to encourage your child to learn and fulfil their potential. These include football, rugby, games club, recorder, guitar, drums, dance, keyboard, netball, ICT, science and history.
