Class Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join our vibrant team. This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher (ECT) ready to begin their teaching journey in a school where individuality and imagination are celebrated.

You will play a pivotal role in the education and development of our pupils. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and passion for learning. About the Position

Salary: Dependent on experience

Location: The Chadderton Preparatory Grammar aged 2years to 11 years

Contract: Full-time, Permanent (or go for Temporary to Permanent)

Start Date: March 2026 or sooner if available

Closing Date: 1st December 2025 12 noon

Observation and Interview: Week Comm 8th December 2025

You will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that bring learning to life across the KS1 curriculum.
  • Create a happy, stimulating classroom environment where every child feels encouraged and challenged.
  • Work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure each child achieves their potential.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through clubs, trips and events.
  • Bring an area of specialism — particularly in creative arts or sport — to enhance our rich co-curricular programme.

About You

  • QTS (or ECT status, with a willingness to learn and grow).
  • A passion for teaching young children and fostering a love of learning.
  • Creativity, energy and a collaborative spirit.
  • An interest or expertise in creative subjects (such as art, music, drama) or sport, and a desire to share that enthusiasm with pupils.
