Today the children at Firwood Manor Preparatory School in Chadderton have been celebrating a belated World Book Day, with Alice in Wonderland themed activities. The school was brightened up due by the fabulous costumes worn by both the children and staff, who all went the extra mile to have the best costume!

The children had great fun taking part in a range of activities which included potion making, hat design, ICT, making jam tarts and making tea for the Mad Hatter! Although the activities were all fun they also covered a range of topics such as science, maths, computing, art and design, life skills and of course reading.

The afternoon was finished off by a Mad Hatters Tea Party for the family and friends of the school.

At Firwood Manor, the children are encouraged to read a range of books throughout their time with us and we hope by the time they leave us they all have a love of reading that will last a lifetime.
